This thick, creamy, chocolatey smoothie bowl is made with natural peanut butter and almond milk from our NutraMilk. All plant-based ingredients, vegan, paleo, and whole 30 friendly.
INGREDIENTS
For smoothie
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/3 – 1/2 cup almond milk made with the NutraMilk
- 2 tbsp. peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
- 2 tbsp. cacao powder
- 2-3 Medjool dates, pitted*
Toppings (optional)
- 2 tsp. peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
- 1 tsp. chia seeds
- granola of choice
- ½ banana, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. chia seeds
For almond milk
- 1 cup (150g) almonds
- 1 quart (946ml) water
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
For peanut butter
- 2 cups (275g) peanuts (untoasted, unsalted)
- pinch salt (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
For almond Milk
- Start by making fresh almond milk with the NutraMilk:
- Place almonds in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 7 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Add water and replace lid.
- Press Mix (do not change the default Mix time).
- Press Start.
- Press Dispense, open spigot and fill your container with almond milk.
- Making the peanut butter
- Place peanuts in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 2-3 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Add all smoothie ingredients to the NutraMilk and press ¨Mix¨ for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
- Pour out smoothie into a bowl and decorate with toppings of choice. To make a swirl, simply drizzle the peanut butter around the bowl and use a knife to swirl it around, then add toppings. Enjoy!
Notes:
*Omit dates if you are on a Keto diet. You can substitute for approved veto sweetener.
