How does the NutraMilk compare to other blenders?
Here are some qualities of The NutraMilk:
- The motorized rotating wiper arms continuously push/tamp down ingredients so that you never have to stop and do so manually.
- No overnight soaking, no straining, or cheesecloth required since the NutraMilk has a built-in filtering system.
- The motor is commercially certified and robust, so it won’t blow out or ruin your blades.
- Creates virtually zero waste. No pulp leftover, since we have the buttering process first which then gets emulsified and mixed with water to become the milk.
- NO wasted nut nutrition. Alternative milk and butter created with the NutraMilk are superior in consistency and nutrition compared to those made using traditional methods.
- Nut & seed processor designed from ground up, patented for utility + design.
- Doesn’t just make alternative milks and nut butters. It’s still a processor.
Does the recipe book come with the machine?
Yes, the 200 recipes book comes exclusively with the machine. You’ll also find many recipes on our website, as it is updated weekly.
Do you offer additional parts?
Yes. Check out our website for Parts and Accessories.
What is the difference between the Processing Bowl and the Butter/Smoothie Bowl?
The processing bowl has the inner mesh filter built in, while the butter/smoothie bowl does not. For those that just want to make butters, smoothies, soups, etc, this will not go thru the filters.
Should the blades be sharpened?
No. Actually, blunt blades help create more friction for the buttering process.

I am allergic to nuts, are there other plant-based milks I can try?
Tiger Nut Milk - which are not actually nuts but tubers. We work very closely with The Allergy Chef who provides many recommendations on how you can adapt the Nutramilk to your lifestyle when you have debilitating allergies.
How do I prevent my oat milk getting slimy?
If you soak the oats for at least 30 minutes and then drain, you should be slime-free!
Can I make creamer for my coffee?
Yes you can make coffee creamer with less water. We have different recipes on our website: https://thenutramilk.com/blogs/coffee-tea/cashew-milk-peppermint-mocha-coffee-creamer?_pos=1&_sid=7c4311e32&_ss=r
Do I need to soak the nuts or seeds I want to use in my NutraMilk?
We recommend using dry, un-soaked raw nuts and seeds to make your homemade alternative milks and butters. You can, however, use pre-soaked nuts and seeds in their raw state with the NutraMilk if desired. If you choose to soak your nuts or seeds for making milk, you will need to ensure the nuts or seeds are completely dry by allowing them to dry overnight (at least 8 hours). Any pre-washed ingredients will also need to be thoroughly dry as well as the added water can alter results.
Does soaking or roasting nuts/seeds alter the processing time?
Yes, the Butter cycle will be shorter than recommended times listed when using pre-soaked or roasted nuts or seeds. Enjoy experimenting to see what works best for you.
What is the milling/grinding process?
Did you know… The NutraMilk is a modern machine based on centuries of the principal of milling. The Amsterdam Windmill Milling/Grind Process is exactly what the machine does to breakdown ingredients their cellular level, releasing the enzymes and oils.
What can affect processing conditions and times?
Environment - storage conditions, shelf life, source of your nuts/seeds, altitude and humidity can all affect processing + times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03UhlGptuLs
What is the ratio of nuts to water used with the NutraMilk?
We recommend 1:1 - 1 cup nuts to 1 liter (4 cups) of water. Or two cups to two liters (or 8 cups) of water. Each cup of nuts yields approximately 4 cups of milk. Ratio can be changed depending on nutrient and caloric density. Minimum is 1 cup nuts - or the ingredients will not engage with the blades.
What temperature water should I use?
We recommend using room temperature water with your NutraMilk.
Is the temperature regulated in the NutraMilk?
The NutraMilk does not regulate temperature, and the mixing container is not designed to be placed into the refrigerator. Once the milk is dispensed into a separate container, that container should be placed into a refrigerator.
Expandable content
Does the NutraMilk achieve a pasteurized end product?
The process of pasteurization requires sustained heating and rapid cooling. Since the NutraMilk does not regulate temperature, it does not pasteurize the milk produced.
How smooth is milk made with the NutraMilk?
Prior to making nut milk, the nuts are made into a nut butter. When water is added, the milk is filtered through 100 mesh stainless filters, so the resulting milk is very smooth!
Can you add whole dates to sweeten your milk?
Yes, you can use pitted whole dates. We recommend adding at the end of the “butter” process, before adding water. Or it can get sticky, not allowing the milk to properly pass thru the filters.
Is there pulp leftover?
The NutraMilk is virtually zero waste and has no pulp leftover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tsEuebNXDU
Any way to keep the almond milk from separating when you add it to a hot beverage?
You have two options. You can add any emulsifier such as sunflower lecithin, or any other emulsifier that you might like. OR if you prefer not to add in an emulsifier you can froth the milk first. Using a frother will prevent any separation from happening.
Can you stop the machine when it gets to the flour stage and use the flour?
Yes, usually about 10-15 seconds in, you’ll have nut flour.
I can make nut milk with my blender already. Why would I use a NutraMilk instead?
Making nut milk in a traditional blender requires nuts to be soaked for several hours or overnight. Once the soaked nuts have been blended and pulverized, the pulp is still in the milk. The resulting mixture must be strained through a cheesecloth (or something similar) which is a messy and time-consuming process. You also lose a lot of the nutrients + fiber. The NutraMilk takes the mess, time, and hassle out of the process!

Is there ever residue in the milk, if so how do you eliminate that?
We recommend running nuts or seeds in the Butter cycle until it looks creamy. This allows the nuts/seeds to grind down to their cellular level and release its oils. You should see waves, not crumbles. Adjustment of processing time may be required.
