This sweet creamy vibrant green smoothie is great-tasting, high in protein and fiber, provides heart-healthy fats including anti-inflammatory omega-3's and is rich in various vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Ingredients
For peanut butter- 2 cups (275g) peanuts
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
- 2/3 cup (84g) hemp seeds
- 5 quarts (1.4L) of water
** This recipe yields a single serving - Multiply amounts of ingredients if you want several servings.
- ½ cup (120ml) hemp milk made with the NutraMilk
- 1 large ripe banana
- 2 tbsp peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
- 2 cups spinach (or other greens like kale)
- Any other ingredients you may want to add such as superfoods
Instructions
Start by making fresh peanut butter and hemp milk with the NutraMilk if you don't have a batch already made.
- Making peanut butter
- Place peanuts and salt in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 2-3 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Making Hemp Milk
- Place hemp seeds in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 2 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container Lid, add water. Replace lid.
- Press Mix (do not change the default Mix time).
- Press Start.
- Press Dispense
Place all recipe ingredients in the NutraMilk and press Mix. Repeat if necessary to get a smooth consistency.
