INGREDIENTS
For Nice Cream
- 1 cup fresh coconut milk made with the NutraMilk
- 2 frozen bananas
- ¼ teaspoon spirulina, matcha, liquid chlorophil or natural food coloring (optional, for color)
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup or other sweetener*
- A handful fresh mint leaves
- A small drop peppermint extract
- ¼ cup (60ml) raw cacao nibs (or grated raw / dark chocolate)
For coconut milk from dehydrated coconut (yields 6 cups)
- 2 cups (160g) of unsweetened dried coconut
- 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) of water
INSTRUCTIONS
- First, start by making coconut milk from dehydrated coconut
- Place the unsweetened dried coconut in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid and add 1 cup of water. Replace lid.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
- Press Start.
- Repeat this step for each cup of water, until you have used all 6 cups.
- Press Mix (do not change the default time)
- Press Dispense.
- Press Start and open spigot to fill your storage container.
*you can use more or less water depending on how full-bodied you want the milk to be.
- Taste and add more sweetener or mint, if desired. Add about two thirds of the raw cacao nibs or grated chocolate and stir gently with a spoon. Scoop into bowls, sprinkle the remaining raw cacao nibs or grated chocolate generously on top, and enjoy!
* You can omit sweetener as the banana already provides natural sweetness (especially if you are on a whole 30 diet) or you can use any sweetener you like such as honey.
*Use paleo-approved sweetener if you are on a paleo.
