Walnuts are a great food to include in your daily diet- they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and lots of other healthy nutrients that keep your brain functioning normally and promote overall health.
Why not include walnuts in a delicious nourishing milk!
Walnuts are creamy and buttery but they also have a lot of tannins, which is where most of the healthy antioxidants are contained-however it can be too much for the palate so we have balanced it out with pear juice for a perfectly sweet plant-based milk. You can also use fresh pears instead of pair juice. Try it out!
INGREDIENTS
Yield 1 quart (4 cups / 946 mL)
- 1 cup walnuts (105 g)
- 1 quart pear juice (946 mL)*
*If you want a milk that is less sweet, try using 3 cups (710 mL) of pear juice and 1 cup (237 mL) of water or use fresh pear.
