We made some delicious nut butter & pear bites for your pet to enjoy! Super easy recipe to make. Give it a try!
INGREDIENTS
For doggie bites
- ½ cup pear (raw, steamed or roasted), pureed
- ½ cup flour of choice (I used a gluten-free flour blend)
- ¼ cup ground flaxseed
- ¼ cup almond, peanut or cashew butter* made with the NutraMilk (Do not use raw cashews- see notes)
For cashew butter
- 2 cups (300g) cashews, roasted**
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Making cashew butter
- Place cashews and salt in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 5-6 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Preheat the oven at 325°F (160°C). Prepare a baking pan, lined with parchment paper.
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix them together.
- Spoon about a teaspoon of dough and roll into small ball, place on parchment paper and gently press down with thumb to flatten a bit.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 20 minutes.
NOTES:
**These delicious little n bites benefit from the smooth, creaminess of cashew butter. But not all cashew butters are created equal.
Never use raw cashew butter in anything you make to give to your dog!
Raw cashews can contain toxins which are dangerous to your dog, so it's important to only buy cashew butter which is made with roasted or cooked cashews.
