These plant-based nutritious gummy stars are full of vitamins and are super refreshing on summer day. Your dog will love these!
INGREDIENTS
For gummy star dog treats
- 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 1/2 cups coconut milk made with the NutraMilk
- 1 cup water
- 6 packets unflavored gelatin (vegan or non-vegan)
For coconut milk from dehydrated coconut (yields 6 cups)
- 2 cups (160g) of unsweetened dried coconut
- 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) of water
INSTRUCTIONS
- First, start by making coconut milk from dehydrated coconut
- Place the unsweetened dried coconut in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid and add 1 cup of water. Replace lid.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
- Press Start.
- Repeat this step for each cup of water, until you have used all 6 cups.
- Press Mix (do not change the default time)
- Press Dispense.
- Press Start and open spigot to fill your storage container.
*you can use more or less water depending on how full-bodied you want the milk to be.
- First we are going to make fruit juice. Place strawberries and 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut milk in the NutraMilk and puree. Repeat with the blueberries. Now you should have your 2 juice mixtures. The last is plane coconut milk.
- In a small saucepan, place 1/3 cup cold water, and add 2 gelatin packs and whisk until dissolved. Slowly bring to a warm temperature on the stove top, then add 1 of the fruit mixtures. Stir together and pour into your molds. Repeat for each color.
