These copy cat Thunderbird bars taste just like the store-bough version. They are quick to put together with delicious, whole and nutritious ingredients for the perfect energy bar to take anywhere.

INGREDIENTS
For bars
- 1 heaping cup of medjool dates, pitted
- ½ cup raw or dry roasted, unsalted almonds
- ½ cup raw cashews
- ¼ heaping cup cacao butter
- 3/4 cup hazelnut butter made with the NutraMilk
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
- 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp vanilla bean powder
- 1 tbsp. maca powder
- 1 ½ tbsp. instant coffee
For hazelnut butter
- 2 cups raw hazelnuts (270 g)
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Start by making hazelnut butter
- Place hazelnuts and salt in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 15-16 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Put nut and dates in the NutraMilk and process until mostly combined. Add the remaining ingredients and process until a clumpy texture starts to form. Remove mixture from the NutraMilk and place on a piece of parchment paper.
- Form in the mixture into a long rectangle and slice into 8 bars or slice once more into squares. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes or in the refrigerator for an hour to let them set. Store in the fridge.
