Why not celebrate your pup´s next birthday with this delicious pupcake! You can join in and eat one too! The almond butter and apple combo as well as the peanut butter frosting is a flavor they won´t be able to resist! A real treat to celebrate them which wont last long!
INSTRUCTIONS
For pupcake
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp. almond butter made with the NutraMilk
- 1/2 apple, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp baking soda/baking powder
For frosting
- 2 tbsp. peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
- 2 tbsp. of plain yogurt of choice (dairy-free if appropriate)
For almond butter
- 2 cups (300g) almonds
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
For peanut butter
- 2 cups (275g) peanuts (untoasted, unsalted)
- pinch salt (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Making almond butter
- Place almond and salt in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 12-13 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Making the peanut butter
- Place peanuts in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 2-3 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid.
- If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a small bowl, combine all ingredients, mixing well.
- Pour into a standard porcelain ramekin. Can line with parchment paper for easy extraction.
- Place ramekin into oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Toothpick placed in the center should come out clean when cake is ready.
- Remove ramekin from oven and let cool for a few minutes before extracting the cake. May need to use a knife to cut around the edges first. Let cake cool completely on a cooling rack before frosting or serving.
- To make the frosting, mix together the peanut butter and yogurt. Spread it on top of the cake.
- Treat your pup!
